Justina Simon

Owner/Graphic Designer
JustSino Designs

Established designer with extensive experience in print design, marketing and web design. Exceptional collaborative and personal skills. Great team player with well-developed written and verbal communication abilities. Highly skilled in customer and vendor relations. Creative and passionate creator of marketing, presentations, web and print design. Accustomed to tight deadlines and deadline driven environments with an awareness of working with budget requirements.

My love of the arts goes back to my childhood. I have always had a fondness for anything visual art related. My talents for art were apparent from at least the early age of 9 when I was drawing and reproducing, in a larger format, pictures of Kermit the Frog. I did not trace the drawings and they were all done by sight. I think much of this talent is inherited from my mother who is also a talented artist.

Throughout school I always knew I wanted to have a career in the art field although I had not pinpointed exactly what type of art. My dad used to tell me that I should be a mechanical engineer but I was not fond of math nor was I that great at it. During high school most of my classes were filled with art. In high school was the first time I was offered money for one of my paintings, I could not part with it though. My senior year I created artwork which currently still hangs in the high school office.

By the time I was going to college I decided to pursue the field of graphic design. It was not fine arts but it was an art form that aligned with my analytical way of thinking. It was more structured than fine arts and that appealed to me. I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design with a minor in art history.

My career has taken me in many directions, from working at a copy center, to a university, to a government agency, to currently working as a freelance designer. A wide variety of experiences enhance my knowledge and expertise in the field of graphic design.

The source of my business name, JustSino Designs, is quite simple really. Since my first name is Justina I took the first four letters from it and added it to the first four letters of my maiden name, Sinoway, thus we have JustSino Designs.
